A diverse, passionate group
FRRR’s dedicated team is passionate about supporting rural, regional and remote groups meet the needs of their local communities. Team members are driven by the inspiring success stories and creative thinking that rural Australian’s continually achieve and deliver.
The team’s mix of skills, experience and personal passions are an enormous asset in ensuring an efficient, streamlined approach to assessing and administering grant applications, as well as the capacity building and influencing work also undertaken by FRRR. This diversity of skills - which ranges from backgrounds in agricultural science and social work, to corporates, arts administration, grants assessment, impact assessment, and community engagement – ensures this small team is well equipped to effectively support rural, regional and remote Australia.
It also ensures access to a wide range of networks – across all levels of government; within philanthropy; with young people; with corporations; farmers; academics and community.
In the 2013/14 financial year, we added some additional part-time and casual support, and farewelled one of the longest serving team members in Andrew Long, who had been company secretary since 2003. We welcomed Lisa Norden as his replacement in that role.
